InterAccess is happy to announce that for our US customers we can offer consultants who are certified as Trusted Testers by the US Department of Homeland Security Office of Accessible Systems & Technology (OAST) to provide testing based on the Trusted Tester Version 5 (TTV5) Conformance Test Process.
What is the Trusted Tester Version 5 (TTV5) Conformance Test Process?certified Trusted Testers
The Trusted Tester Version 5 (TTV5) Conformance Test Process consists of a standardized manual test approach to test for Section 508 compliance incorporating all tests of the ICT Testing Baseline.
Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. 794d) requires all US federal departments and agencies to ensure that their information and communications technology is accessible to people with disabilities. The current Revised 508 Standards incorporate by reference the WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA Success Criteria.
Trusted Testers follow the standardized test approach using a unified set of test tools and standardized reporting. This allows for repeatable and reliable test results and makes issues easier to reproduce and remediate. Agencies that adopt the Trusted Tester Process only accept test results from individuals who have been certified as Trusted Testers.
