InterAccess – Privacy Policy 2022

This privacy policy will explain how our organization uses any personal data we collect when
undertaking client work such as accessibility auditing or usability testing.

InterAccess collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
  • Consensual videos of people usability testing and using the websites and services of InterAccess
    clients for the purposes of highlighting accessibility and usability issues.

How do we collect your data?

InterAccess may collect data when you:

  • Make an inquiry about our accessibility services.
  • Voluntarily provide your details or express an interest in taking part in usability testing.

InterAccess may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Via email or contact with disability service providers.
  • Via subcontractor recommendation.

How will we use your data?

InterAccess collects your data so that we can:

  • Contact you regarding involvement in usability testing.
  • Our clients can improve the usability and accessibility of their services by reviewing these usability testing videos.
  • Contact you if there is client related work or queries.

InterAccess will never share your data with other companies so that they may offer you products and services.

How do we store your data?

InterAccess securely stores your data using the secure encrypted cloud platform, with restricted access via 2-Factor Authentication (2FA).

InterAccess will keep usability testing related data for one year. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by removing it from these servers.

NOTE: When we pass on usability testing videos to our clients, it then becomes their responsibility to ensure it is correctly stored. InterAccess are not responsible for any issues that may arise from third party use of usability testing footage, or issues with security. Anyone taking part in usability testing will do so with this understanding.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of data, stored in text files, that are stored on your computer or other device when websites are loaded in a browser. They are widely used to “remember” you and your preferences, either for a single visit (through a “session cookie”) or for multiple repeat visits (using a “persistent cookie”).

How InterAccess use cookies

We use cookies for very limited purposes. Many of the cookies we use are only set if you are a registered InterAccess website user (so you don’t have to log in every time, for example). InterAccess use cookies in the administrative dashboards of our website. We may also use cookies for generic site visitor statistics used by WordPress. We do not use cookie data to actively track or keep tabs on our visitors and the pages they visit to monetise this data.

Marketing

InterAccess will not send you unsolicited information about products and services of ours of third party companies. You have the right at any time to stop InterAccess from contacting you. InterAccess will not give your data to third parties for marketing purposes.

What are your data protection rights?

InterAccess would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

The right to access – You have the right to request InterAccess for copies of your personal data. However, note there may be non-disclosure agreement (NDA)’s in place to third parties who are clients of InterAccess.

The right to rectification – You have the right to request that InterAccess correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request InterAccess to complete information, you believe is incomplete.

The right to erasure – You have the right to request that InterAccess erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that InterAccess restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to InterAccess processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to data portability – You have the right to request that InterAccess transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions. Note, doing this must not breach any existing terms of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
