Learn about digital accessibility, the different types of users to consider and the types of assistive technology that they utilise.
We’ll look at accessibility personas that we can use to understand the types of users we will be serving, and you’ll gain an understanding of the diversity of their needs and requirements.
We’ll review multiple types of assistive technology, such as screen readers, magnifiers, switches and other devices, and see examples of how they function as well as how the technologies interact with our content.
After completing the module, you will have a greater sense of the end user’s needs and requirements, the tools they use, how they interact, and why a ‘user-first’ strategy is important for accessibility.
